Little Treasures

Building a Brighter Future for All

We're a volunteer run charity who support autistic adults and children right across the North East. We aim to relieve the needs of autistic adults, children, young people and their parents, carers and siblings by providing facilities for play and recreation in the interests of social welfare in a safe and secure environment, and by providing support and practical advice to parents and carers.

What We Do

Advocating Change

Little Treasures autism charity is located in the heart of Durham. A charitable foundation dedicated to helping those in need.

With the dedication of our volunteers, staff members, and partners, we strive to improve the lives of everyone who needs help within the community.

How We Help

Sensory play sessions

We have specialist play equipment for the children to access at our stay and play sessions, and a sensory session with bouncy castle and sensory equipment.

We offer free courses, trips out, book library, information, support, pamper sessions for parents, bouncy castle and activities within the group for children.

Ferryhill activity/bouncy castle session

These sessions are all £5 for one child and £7 per family

These sessions will help children of all ages gain skills in both verbal and non verbal communication, sharing, turn taking, collaboration and other social skills.

Parent support sessions

These sessions are all £4 per person

Our parent support sessions have speakers come in on different sessions with lots of useful information.

These sessions are a great way for parents to share experiances, give advice, recieve advice and support each other.

Autie Mates is a social group for autistic adults, pre and post-diagnosis.

Our aim is to eradicate isolation within the autistic community.

Provide positive safe places for autistic people to be themselves and make friends.

The group was founded in 2017 and is now part of Little Treasures.

We have a growing number of venues in the North East, ran by volunteers many of whom are autistic themselves.
